Item #OE-WF003: New York World’s Fair Folding Cane Seat
Description: This is a great World’s Fair collectible! It is the Kan-O-Seat folding seat by the Stafford Johnson Corp. of Iona, Michigan. It was handy when waiting for hours in lines for the more popular attractions. Folded, the seat was carried as a cane or walking stick, then could quickly convert to seating as needed. It is made of wood with a light finish, and has a picture of the Trylon and Perisphere on the seat with the words “New York World’s Fair” in the official orange and blue colors. It is in good condition; some scratches on the emblem. Signed and dated 1935 on the back. Measures 35” high, seat is 9” in diameter. Very hard to find in this condition.
