Streamline was established in Boston 1995 by owner Lynda Watson after years of collecting and as a result of her love for the Art Deco and Mid-Century Modern Styles. Shortly thereafter, she was joined at the shop by Lisa Crowley whom she met while both were members of the Art Deco Society of Boston. Since then, the business has continued to grow and to develop a loyal customer base.
The shop specializes in Art Deco, 50’s kitch and 60’s funk. Costume Jewelry, Bakelite, Vintage Clothing and Textiles, Kitchen and Barware are particularly prominent in this fun, informal little shop. New items arrive weekly to keep the stock plentiful and interesting.
Three times a year (May, July, and September), Streamline packs up its wares and sets up for five days at the Brimfield (Massachusetts) Antiques Show, one of the largest outdoor shows in the Country. Over 7,000 antiques dealers converge on this small, quintessential New England village for a week to sell antiques and collectibles to buyers from around the world. Streamline’s booth is located at the New England Motel field in the center of the mile-long stretch of dealer filled fields. If you are a collector and have never experienced Brimfield, you’ve missed out on the shopping experience of a lifetime!
Streamline was named “Best of Boston” by Boston Magazine, and has been featured in the Boston Globe and the Chronicle news program on WCVB, Boston.
